From the recording Redemption Part I
During a 2 hour trip home I came up with the idea to put to music and record the poem I had written mid morning on a patio in Toronto for a lovely soul I had crossed paths with that morning. I gave her the original but not before I scrabbled a copy of it for myself to take home. I already had a melody on my head by then. This is that recording later that evening.
Lyrics
Hands of love…bath me in the water
Laying back…under the half moon’s light
And she…She stands by the river
And takes what’s delivered
My soul
Finally severed
Free and untethered
From the noise
And the weight of this world…
My soul
Finally severed
Free and untethered
From the noise
And the weight of this world
And the weight of this world
And the weight of this world.
